Day 1 - 9am to 4pm

• We start the day by having introductions from all trainees on the course
• We then begin a slide show presentation about leather and its history
• We touch on marketing and how this will fit into your business
• We break for lunch
• We begin again with leather identification, get to know your leather types and how to tell them apart
• We get to know the product range and the products you will be using daily in your new career
• We begin to talk about colour mixing with the colour wheel and how to match all types of colours
• The day ends at 4pm

Day 2 - 9am to 4pm

• The day begins with the final talk of colour mixing and hands on sessions mixing colours with the colour scanner and by eye
• We talk about the “Science Beyond The Grain”
• We start learning all about leather cleaning, how to clean different types of leathers and what tools to use on which leathers
• Leather protection, coatings and more. We talk about the pros and cons of protection
• We break for lunch
• We begin again with removing the surface coating on leather understand why this is done
• We talk about and go through leather preparations for doing repairs
• The day ends at 4pm

Day 3 - 9am to 4pm

• The day begins with a quick run down of the past two days to ensure all is understood it’s a quick Q&A
• We then begin with doing repairs to scuffs, scrapes and scratches in leather, how to fix them and make them as invisible as possible
• We then move onto cuts and holes in leather, learning different methods of repairs
• We break for lunch
• We begin with repairing cigarette burns in leather, we learn all about fillers and what leather filler to use and when
• We then move onto repairing and replacing grain patterns on leather, taking templates of the grain and using those moulds to replace the grain
• We end the day learning about re colours to hard plastics
• Day ends at 4pm

Day 4 - 9am to 4pm

• The day begins with learning about spraying, using different types of spraying equipment
• We begin applying colours to your leather items by sponge method and spray method
• We learn all about antique finishes and two tone leather colours and applications
• We break for lunch
• Learning all about clear coat sealer application to seal in colours
• Getting to grips with pricing and how to implement this into your business
• Full on Q&A about the four days
• End the day with a 21 question exam and photo shoot with your certifications
• The day ends at 4pm
