Matting Agent is a water based, duller for paint, it reduces the sheen levels of paint making it dull with no shine.

Matting agent can only be used by mixing into leather colourant. Leather colourants as standard have a slight sheen to them but using the dulling agent reduces the sheen of leather colours. Do not overuse the matting agent start off with 10% or less depending on what’s required, never exceed more than 30% matting agent in a colour mix.

When mixed with leather colourants it can be used on any type of leather, faux leather, vegan leather, and vinyl.

Use Within: Use within 24 months of purchase.
Warranty: 12 months from point of sale.
Temperatures: do not allow to freeze or go below 7 °C.
Before Use: Shake bottle rigorously before use.
Colour: white in colour.
Smell: a slight chemical.
Formula: water-based dulling agent.
Skin Allergies: if you have skin allergies always wear gloves.
Cautions: Harmful if swallowed. Keep out of reach of children, may cause skin irritation. Seek medical attention at once, do not induce vomiting. Avoid contact with eyes, rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do so, continue rinsing.

Purpose

‍ Used to remove the gloss levels of leather colourant paints, it’s a dulling agent that makes colour mixing a lot easier as it removes the sheen allowing leather paints to blend off quicker.

Instructions

‍ Add small amounts at a time into your leather colourant mix, then thoroughly stir and shake to make sure all is mixed in. Once mixed in then filter your leather paints before using on your leather item you’re restoring and colouring.
